Hardware Engineer

Description:

Hardware Engineer needed to assist with development and test groups. 

Job Duties Include:

 

  • Designing test fixtures and new test equipment
  • Obtaining detailed product performance specifications from customers and determining appropriate and effective tests to ensure product reliability
  • Develop and test strategies including the type and number of tests to be performed and the equipment required to do them

 

This is a contract assignment expected to last

3-6+ months.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Must have experience with both Analog and Digital development and testing 
  • On the Analog side: Must have experience with circuit design, layout, and debugging with an emphasis in the analog arena and have an in depth understanding of layout rules for analog audio and other circuitry 
  • On the digital side: Must have experience with VHDL design, have experience with the RTCA and have knowledge of analog and digital audio design and DSP
  • Any experience designing to meet Electromagnetic compatibility requirements or DO-254 is a PLUS
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Degree required

  • Working on various projects that cover the entire life cycle of product packaging to include conceptual design, supplier development, process development, process deployment, continuous improvement initiatives, continuing production support and supplier development.

Description:

1-2 Project Engineers/ Electronics Packaging Analysts are needed for a long term assignment.  Job duties include:

 

  • Analysis and overall project engineering
  • Owning product from cradle to grave and is responsible for numerous functions on the project
  • Analyzing/reading results and recommending appropriate changes to the designs
  • Creating analysis reports
  • Tolerance Analysis and Voltage clearance analysis
  • Trade studies, Request for Information Reports (RFIs), Request for Proposal Reports (RFPs) and Request for Quotation Reports (RFQs), etc. 

This is a long term contract assignment (6-12 months), however, temp to perm candidates are highly preferred.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • 7-10+ years of recent and relevant experience
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Hands on experience with some FEA (finite element analysis) analysis software (ANSYS and Sinda/G preferred)
  • Analysis of electronics packaging for hostile environments (temperature, vibration, shock)
  • Degree required, BSME preferred
  • “Plusses” include: UG NX4, packaging for airborne applications
  • US Citizenship or Green Card preferred
